Maybe if we can get this big enough over the years we'll have enough draw to get those west coasters out to try out our roads! Errr, wait, I might need a bigger house then.

 

LMAO I would love to try some Eastern roads... but bein' currently unemployed means I can't afford gas for dem road trips

yeah, I think Indy is that day...that's what DVR's are for though! I can record it and whenever we're back from the ride we can put it on while I'm cooking up the burgers and dogs. (Race is Sunday the 30th, so 29th must be qualifying right?)

Ride in the am / early afternoon, come back to hang out on the deck or pool, watch some GP, and grill up some food - come on guys, that sounds like a pretty good freggin day to me!

Now...who's bringing the strippers? :biggrin:

 

Saturday August 29 or Sunday August 30?

Do you have an idea of the schedule of activities?
Some come in on Sat. night, and then some on Sunday?
All meet on Sunday morn?
My plans are flexible on most counts, but don't think I'm
staying very late on Sunday.

 

I didn't really have Sunday on the radar, just Saturday...we can all meet up at my place Saturday am, head out for a ride, be back mid afternoon to chill out. Anyone who wants to jump in the pool can, or just hang out. I'll have beer, soda, water, munchy food stuff. Then whenever people want to eat, I'm thinking like 5 or 6ish, we can cook up some burgers and dogs. People are totally welcome to stay as long as they want, if people want to hang out we can get a fire going to keep the bugs away, or at least away as much as possible!

Of course if anyone wants to head back over Sunday to watch the race, I could easily be convinced lol. Maybe even have to take another ride :tongue:

 

So it's on a Saturday, that's good.

Yep, Saturday 8/29. Meet up in the am and ride, back for some R & R and chow.

Oh, and Kobe - I figure if we all strap a couple logs to the back of the bikes, we'll have enough wood to fire up the fire pit. LOL, kidding, I got a pretty big pile I'm trying to go through so we're good.

Now we need the weather to cooperate and give us a nice day!

 

Couple local guys have contacted me and are running into issues on 8/29...

So far, looks like we have 5 that are in and a couple that are waiting on their schedules to see if they can make it. I've got 02 VFR Rider, Kobe Diesel, Chris2711, Adam Jenkins and Red Menace as in, and BBwong and Rustbucket as hopefully's but not 100%. Hopefully more will chime in still!

So, here's what I'm thinking. Move the date one more time, try to give others a chance to make it - ride and cook out on Saturday 9/12? I don't want to screw anythign up for those that already said they can make it on 8/29, hopefully you guys can make it 9/12. I'm still free 8/29 for anyone that still wants to go that day, and actually, anyone is more that welcome to head back to my house and I can still toss on some burgers, etc.

Lets here it guys, how about the "official" ride / bbq on 9/12 and a "preview" ride / bbq on 8/29? What do ya think?

(I'll still get you guys a PM with directions and my cell prior too)

 

Thanks for the reminder. I am out for 8/29 but definitely in for 9/12. When the date firms up for sure I'll reach out to some of the NJ guys to see if I can get a group together from here.

you betcha buddy - maybe pushing it back will get us out of this freggin 90+ degree heat too!! Geez, enough is enough. Relief is on the way for the weekend I hear though.
