    Hey Guys

I have a problem with my bike. That is if I start it no problem and it runs like a champ. Then after 10-15 min it starts to make a sound rattling from the clutch area.I opened the clutch last weekend and took a look.Changed the friction plates, clutch plate and the inner bearing that because my clutch was always slipping under pressure also.Have you guys ever heard about this.I thinking about changing the outer bearing and the one way bearing. Now the book is talking about a split gear in the outer housing (that is device witch holds pressure to the primary gears and clutch at all time to reduce gear noice) but I can´t find it if it built in the outer housing or what. I have also been suspecting the springs on the back of outer housing.I am pretty sure that this is NOT my main bearing or rod bearing because then it would be all the time not just when it is hot..BTW It doesn´t matter if I am in neutral or the clutch lever is out or in.And this is VF700F interceptor
    Best regards

    Update 24/06/09

    Hey

I forgot to say when I say the clutch is slipping then I mean: I am driving at 5000 rpm and give it a good throttle and then speedo and tacho work together for 1-5 sek then it slips(the tacho goes up to 8-9000 rpm) and if I hold the same throttle for 5-7 sek maybe at 6500 rpm it gets a grip and the bike speeds up.That is why Jamie I was suspecting the one way bearing that it cannot hold under pressure. It happens in all gears and sometimes it hold and I can give full throttle.I will check the time chains in the weekend and see if they are lose.Jamie thanks again for the help.

    Best regards

I think that's a legitimate question considering the issue.

Not the first time it would have happened either. Lots of people don't realize you need special oil for bikes.

    Update 28.June

    Hey Guys

I have started the bike up today and put in a gear wheel starts rolling but the sound is still there but not so much noise when I give that the throttle but noise rises starts when I let go of the throttle.Vibration is coming from the clutch area. But Jamie I will keep the tensioner in mind when I open the covers.I will write when I figure this out so another person won´t have to go thruw this.

    Best regards

    Gunnar

I have changed the one way bearing and clutch housing. So I am not sure witch one was bad but the sound has gone away.I am so happy thanks for all the help guys. But when you fix one thing another goes wrong but it is not so bad my oil plug thread is ruined so I need to drill out or change oil pan.

    Best regards
