Anyone have a close match in auto paint for 87 RWB

One member came up with GM Arrival Blue so I need a good match for the red and white. thanx in advance, captb

I'm going to be figuring this all out at a later time, if nobody has any info by then! Well, unless it's much different from my 85.

The white is Shasta white.....easy match years ago....not so sure now....the blue I used to know but too many beers since then.If I come up with it and I will in time I will post.The red is a decal and the paint under is very rough....the decal hid the piss poor paint job.....lots of over spray......looked good when done.

 

Many of the colors on the RWB scheme were Candy Aluetian Blue, Shasta White and Fighting Red.

But Colorrite usually has the colors, matches maybe?

The thing about colorite is that they use their own paint codes, and they are pretty pricey. At the shop, we have all the toners and supplies to mix our own paint, but no information on motorcycle paints.

The other bad thing is that the decals are becoming scarce, if not completely unobtainable. They are not available for my 85 VF500. I'm thinking that I'm going to have someone airbrush what would be the decals. I think it would look better like that anyway.

 

go to honda get the number of the color then go to a autopaint shop they can match the paint like original,,,

 

Looks like the Shasta White is a Car color, also. Therefore, it should be an easy color to have mixed.

I looked up the colors for my 85 (the red is different) and couldn't find the colors, other than the white by the code.

This page: Honda Paint Codes Has the the paint codes by name. You might run the codes by your paint supplier to see if they can mix it up for you. Unfortunately, the system we use does not. I'm going to run it by our other supplier (Dupont) and see what they can come up with.

Blue - Sherwin Williams couldn't find this one but it sounds like GM Arrival Blue is a close match

You can buy it here Honda Motorcycle Paint - ColorRite - ColorRite but it is expensive

I found duplicolor dsfm340 works well and is very close to the original after a clear coat.
