come on now, an enlightened individual such as yourself that rides a VFR and is on VFR World surely would not begrudge a poor woman in her golden years a chance to live as she sees fit now would you?

Trust me there's worse pics out there, as I'm sure you know

    HEEEHEHHEEEEEHEEEE

I thought the VFR was a grown up, mature riders bike. so far the only maturity I have seen in this thread is that hot piece of senior citizen ass in the black leather ..mmm nice.

so lets all grow up people. It is kind of obvious that california sucks, there is no getting around it, so lets not be like children here. Lets move on and have a productive discussion about how I can get rid of as much of this emissions crap as possible.

What happens when you remove all of your emissions equipment and you still can't keep up?

It is not a matter of keeping up, this is a streetbike, not a racing machine. i would at least like the bike to make power similar to my 49 state 1994 model.

Well sparky, I would have to say that coming onto a forum as a NOOB blasting insults about where people live is not a way to say "hello." Now many of us will regard you as a :ass: Maybe that is what you truly want though?!!

On a side note, I hear that the DN-01 is a great bike. If I was you, I would sell/burn/destroy your VFR immediately, and buy one as soon as possible. A DN-01 has been called the "ulimate man's bike" by most magazines. It is supposed keep up with sportbikes on the track.

LOL mines a 97 gets better than 50mpg and goes 152mph so there. As far as the gentleman's rant, I get his drift, I can recall a fine moment or two picking up a CA. car and bike in the past only to re work so it ran better. I look at it this way, now we know. For the most part, its all carbs and emission crap, yes different cams # but pretty sure the specs aren't that far off, if they are. There's nothing extra mentioned in the shop manual for the ca specs. and it does say it if there is a difference, more than likely the power loss is coming from the carbs and extra crap I feel. I say get your hands on a set of 49 state carbs, have a cold one and enjoy the journey. LOL you know Californians are a pretty sensitive bunch right? Tread lightly. ;)

Well, I think the California model is good enough as is. California however, is a joke.

It's pretty amusing the state government is paying people with IOUs. I wonder if Cali taxpayers will start paying the state government taxes with IOUs? It gets crazier and crazier. You can't help but watch that slow-motion train wreck. Just fascinating. Glad I'm not there...

Is California out of step with the rest of the US? Why are the bikes there de-tuned if in fact they are?
