ok I like my 98VFR but need to love her and only problem is stock sound which is most hideously muted sound I heard on stock motorcycle.
It just does no justice to wonderful V4 engine.

I need to buy a slip on but I don't want to spend $400+ Yes that range eliminates lot of pipes but still in the range of aluminum cans.

    Any good suggestion?
    Is this worth buying?

Some others on VFRW have put that pipe on and been pretty happy.

    Just an FYI.

Not sure what a 2Bros costs - mine came on the gen5 i bought. Very happy w/ that can.
Had a V&H. didn't care for the sound - pretty wide open.
Really like the Staintune, but $$$.

Saw this on youtube. YouTube - 1999 VFR Interceptor, Delkevic Exhaust, Exhaust plug in Sounds OK but I think it would be worth the extra $ to get something better. I agree the Staintune sounds great. I am in exactly the same boat as you : 98 & wanting a pipe to get that sound out. If it makes you feel better, we dont get Staintunes cheap down here :frown: Good luck & I will watch this thread with interest.
PS what about a Micron? They sound great but I dont know if you can still get them.

hey just to give you guys a head up on this exhaust situation, I work at a Carbon Fiber race shop and we make custom exhausts on the side (buddy and I). The pipes are really aggressive looking and sounding and prices range from 250 to 325 but the carbon is high quality not chinese junk let me know if you want some pics. We've made pipes for everything from triumphs cbr RR my vfr lots of ZX14 and even a goldwing, let me know if you havent found anything and ill load up some pics.

Are these prices for high & low mount options? Also does price include mid/down pipe? Cheers. PS Any idea what they charge to ship to Oz?

Hi, I have a Delkevic can on R1. Tried it on the VIFFER, looked good and sounded good but not as good as my 2 Bros.; probably because of PC3 mapping but power felt somewhat diminished; very smooth however. Interestingly, the Delkevic can is a seperate P/N from the midpipe it ships with and can be purchased for around $85.00 alone...how can you beat that?

FEDEX tried to deliver yesterday which surprised me that it came this quickly but the driver did not even attempt: to knock the door and left undelivered.
I am waiting right now for the second attempt.
I will post pics in shipping box and sound as well.

As promised guys here is the moment of truth!
    I made this video
    YouTube - D+D Exhaust on VFR800

It has few tips as well.
The pipe is awesome-nice deep tones which I love and shaving of good amount of weight which is noticeable to me.
Can you buy better pipe? sure but my thread is about best bang for the buck and D&D delivers just fine at $254 including free shipping
I am happy with the result and now my bike growls instead of whispering in traffic.
