PC III compatibility

    I read somewhere on here that a long as the Power Commander ended in the part # 411 it would have the same hardware as the Power Commander for the VFR which also ends in 411. The first three digits are suppose to be the map codes and can be changed to whatever map you need.

    Can anyone confirm this? I am looking at RC51 programmer and a 600rr programmer that ends in 411 and would like to know if they would be compatible.

    Power commanders are generally all the same units, the solid difference is the harness that's attached to it. a PCIII brain from my Gixxer750 is no different then say a CBR600 one, its just the harness is different and the software loaded onto it (which can be flashed). Personally id really stick to what was made for your bike though, wiring headaches are totally not worth it.

    Thanks for the replies. I ended up finding a used one for a 06 VFR. Works awesome.
