Today was my first ride on the new seat. Rode to work, 28 miles one way. The new seat is wider and therefore feels taller when stoppped to those of us that are vertically challenged (5'7"). That said, even tho it is firmer it is more comy than stock . It feels like you sitting down in a pocket.
A plus I didn't expect is it changed how airflow hits me. With a ZG ST screen, stock seat, and HeliBars the wind hit me about the forehead area. With the new seat the wind is just barely catching the top of my helmet.
To those of you on the group buy eagerly awaiting delivery......I would have to say it's worth the wait.

You will like it even more on the first longer ride you take. Your butt will be singing or sighing instead of crying. The different shape moves the pressure points on your thighs as well, so your legs will have better blood flow.

The added yellow welt just brightens up the bike in my opinion. Which, on our fekkin sexy yellow beasts, makes it even fekkin sexier.

I agree with Drewl, I think you will really appreciate it on a long trip, though I agree with your assessment. And it does look more finished than the stock seat.

Mine seems to get more comfortable the more miles I put on it. Maybe it has to break in, or maybe my arse continues to adjust to it over time. Either way, it's a great seat.
