title of this was a bit misleading, I was expecting to see someone stand on the tail or tank of this bike...

    oh well.

    easiest way to swap forks...

    lift bike
remove front breaks (dont forget to leave cap open.)
    remove front wheel
remove top clamps, and slide forks down.
(if you didnt buy new bearings)
    remove lthe bearing seats
    remove bearings
replace bearings in the new(er) forks
    replace the bearing seats
slide new(er) forks up into the handle bar assy
replace clamp... leave it a bit loose
    replace wheel (not break)
    reset the wheel height
    tighten upper clamp onto forks
reinstall front breaks, (bleed the system and replace oil)
    tighten front wheel

Thats as short and sweet as it gets.

    1. Remember the VF1000R forks have an air chamber and crossover connector below the upper triple clamp, and the forks are retained in place with a small snap ring also. If you DO NOT plan on reinstalling the air lines, they can be discarded, IF you spot weld the air hole shut on both forks.

    2. The forks are rebuildable, ask Jamie Daugherty.

Bike looks good! I like the simplicity of black and white. Good luck with your forks.
