    Hi all. I want to fit tapered bearings to my 6th Gen steering head. Does anyone have the inner shaft and outer race measurements please? This'll allow me to order them before I strip the bike apart...

    TIA

    Just look up all-balls tapered steering head bearings. I found them on Dennis Kirk a while back and got them for my cbr954. Didn't need to give them dimensions, they have it by model number. they base their product to replace stock ball bearings.

    Thanks Goin... As I'm on the other side of the world and want to walk into a local bearing wholesaler to buy Timken bearings, I just need the dimensions. I'll not be buying All-Balls, but will see if they have the dimensions available. All-Balls seem reasonably priced at $34US, until I see that I have to pay an extra $24US for shipping, which brings it to near $90AUD, significantly more than I reckon I'll buy good quality bearings for here...

    Thats what I was going to say, All Balls. I think you are way better to go with them
    then a local bearing shop. This kind of thing is AB's specialty so that should say it all. good luck, eddie

    Winaje, Yes,I did not see that you are from Australia, interestingly enough I was at
    the post office and they have this new flat rate system. It works as follows;
    If it fits into a #1 box cost is X $'s for anywhere in the U.S. And if that box
    goes over seas a few more dollars gets added. I think it was only $ 8.00 U.S
    for that box to be shipped anywhere in the world. So sounds like AB may have
    quoted you to high a price for freight. eddie

    Also the All-Balls kit comes with the correct seals too.
