Hello fellow V4's!!! A lucky find a $150, but its a little rough (no plastics, missing clutch cover and starter, needs a litle tlc). What should I know about the bike and VFR world to get me on the road to a good recovery? I already know the the reg/rect from my last CBR. Always wanted a 750 vfr, really happy to finally get one. A great compliment to my Aprilia 1000 twin!

What about fully adjustable or inverted fork swaps? Anything out there semi bolt in or full machining only?

Best bang for the buck in rear shock replacements?

OEM type parts will be difficult to find. There are some aftermarket, such as the R/R, and also aftermarket accessories. If you have enough cash, you can do anything. lol. Plastics will most likely be the hardest to come buy. There may be some NOS stuff around, but it will be a treasure hunt type of deal. I'd say start with the mechanical stuff first. You can always 'street fighter' it or make it a naked bike. ;-)

You can buy all new 3rd Gen bodywork including seat cowls from Airtech Streamlining. Their body kits look very good but will need to be painted and have mounting points drilled since they are unfinished. I will be parting out one of my 3rd Gens in the next few weeks so keep an eye on the classified section.

    Regards,
    Rollin

Sell it for a profit and buy a Gen 4 is my suggestion.

I can't sell it yet, I always wanted one and just got it. Besides, I think your biased ;)

Thanks for the links, I am finding lots of good stuff, should have most of it installed within the next week. Still looking at body options, tail swaps and such.

    Itching to ride it!
