This might be help to someone at some time. The problem started with the FI light glowing faintly with a load on the electrical system (ie headlights on). After a while the light was on bright all the time, and finally the bike would cut out at random intervals. Resetting the kill switch would allow the bike to start again OK. The whole problem lasted approx 6 months. From the beginning of the problem I thought it was a conection problem, took about every conector apart, cleaned and waterproofed them. Finally the fault was traced to the earth cluster conection which is under the seat just forward of the reg/rectifier unit. A load of earth points go to a type of plug assy and then one wire to the chassis. Well one of the many wires was corroded, getting hot and building up a high resistance, causing the earth to find an alternate route. After cleaning everything up, replacing the bad wire etc all is now OK. I hope this will be of use to you all as it drove me crazy for quite a while. Ian
