I just did a full gut on the extra set of stock pipes and the sound is awsome but.....way too loud. I havn't rewelded yet so I can still work with thing easily. so has anyone tried to baffel the full gut using

I figured I could weld a piece of the baffle on to the end of each exit pipe and wrap it with the steel wool. It would make it quiter with out going back to stock. Whats the though on this?? will it work??

Steel wool will do the same as the packing. Have used both. The baffle will last, the packing will eventually burn out. Use the baffle and if it's still to loud then wrap it with packing. Start with the most coarse and work down to finer coarseness for less sound.

I just using 4 of these baffles
    http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produ...re=&catId=&productId=p44830&leafCatId=&mmyId=
and did not pack them...much better!!! I cut the fat ends off and welded them to my endcaps then reweld the entire thing. it should last forever.

This thing now has a rumble to it with out the go to jail scream of the simple full gut job.

    Tubes

I tinkered with this and decided to leave the tubes in and just removed the baffle sections. Worked very well, nice sound not too loud. Lasers did show up about an hour ago so it really wont matter soon.
