Wow, unreal MPG!

    I just filled the tank a 4th time after buying this bike, a somewhat tired and neglected '87 VFR700. Riding from Salt Lake City to NW Wyoming (over the Rockies), in sometimes heavy wind, averaging maybe 70mph, I managed 58mpg! Now I'm happy! :biggrin:

    awesome i heard this one rider got 105mpg but he was going downhill with a tornado tail wind..

    Nope, haven't checked the odometer yet. Something to do. Could be the gearing is non-standard. However, I compared my odometer reading with what mapquest said the distance was, and it was close.
