... at high speeds between 75 and 95, the front shakes like friggin mad... so much that the mirrors shake and I am not able to see a car next to me from the vibration... well, i can see it, just no detail at all. I checked the rubber grommets in the front cowl stay.. they are good. Mirrors are good and tight. Front cowl is mounted well to the two lower front fairings.

one thing I did find was a bolt is missing on the left side of the radiator mount... yet the clip that wraps around the heater hose, and doubles as a sleeve for that bolt is intact, and holding it fairly stiff... I'll replace that soon.

Shocks... not sure when they were last serviced, but there is no oil ring on the forks, so I dont think its leaking. I have hit a bump hard enough on occasion I can feel the forks bottom out.

Break pads could use a change, but they arent anywhere near dangerous level.

front wheel fender is securely fastened... fender reflectors are good.

    Wheel bearing maybe?

Dunno. lookin for a list of things to check from others, before I tear her down next week.

    Comments?

Your wheel bearings or steering bearings may have given up the GHOST, i believe.

Steering head bearings need periodic inspection, re-lubing, re-tightening, and in my experience, replacement by 25,000 miles.

IF not, then a balance weight has come off your front wheel??

    follow up...

It was the front wheel bearings. Nastly little buggars. I couldnt physically discern exactly what was wrong, but the new ones, plus a rebalance of the wheel tells the story for them. the shake at 95+ is gone.

    thanks for the input guys.
