OK, but after cleaning out rust, wouldn't it be a great idea to COAT the inside of tank with a bullet-proof, epoxy-hard coating for only $40 that can fill pinholes ??

I love the stuff because it saved 2 tanks for me, one of which had more than 15 pinholes that i had to keep filling with JBWeld !!

 

Another alternative at a low price is THE WORKS toilet bowl cleaner. No joke, it is the best rust remover I have ever used and it only costs about $2 a bottle!

Maybe I'll have to try racing that toilet bowl cleaner against Rusteco some day. :smile:

Yes, after getting the rust out, it's probably a good idea to coat the tank. Squirrelman, how long has that coating product worked for you? I've heard some types don't last so long, and then you have a mess inside your tank to deal with...
