I just picked up an87 VFR700 and all the plastic is trash but the rest is in good shape. I've got a line on the plastic but I can't figure where the left fairing mounts at the bottom. Can somebody take a pic of it? This is a surprise for my son when he gets back from the Afgan sandbox.

I have a later model so I cant help you with your exact problem. However if you go to a Honda dealer and ask to see the micro fishe for that particular area, that should give you a general idea of where and how it gets attached. Possible the bike is missing its origional bracket so it appears that there is no place to fasten the fairing on to .
Most of these machines use very specific bracketry to attach the plastic pieces. eddie

There is a bracket that mounts to the kickstand mount.

I wouldn't worry about the middle fairing bolt. Most people that have ridden these bikes do away from them. It tends to make the fairing crack when bumped by a knee.

    Good luck.

P.S. Yonan that bike is DAMN clean man. Put some miles on it! J/K
