I'm leaving for my trip in 1 day and suddenly I have this friggen signal headlight issue.

This morning I took off all the fairings and was polish/waxing them before the trip. Washed the bike....started her up...check all lights and signals.....everything was OK.

Tonight I put the side fairings back on...put the seat on...turned the bike on to check the signals and they stay solid.

The signals light up but they stay solid.

SOMETIMES....and I can't figure out why they will strobe SUPER fast and I can hear the realy ticking with every flash. Also...the headlight will do the same fast strobe at times. (but the headlight will not strobe with the highbeam on)

With the signal relay unplugged the signals do nothing. Plug it back in the signals stay solid....occasionally they strobe super fast.

Having the bike on has no effect. Though I haven't seen any strobing with the bike running.

Checked the fuses by the ignition...all are ok.

Please help....otherwise my week long bike trip is forfeit!

Just get a fog machine and DJ, you'll be the life of the party.

On a serious note: If the relay doesn't sense enough load, it will hyperflash (very common when installing LED signals, which require an aftermarket relay and/or load resistors).

Sure you didn't get any water where it didn't belong?

I have LED signals already so they were already flashing crazy fast....now they are literally strobing like a cop car.
But they are mainly stuck solid. No flashing.

I dunnoh if I got water someplace I shouldn't have. It's a bike...when it rains it gets wet all over.

    True, but rain isn't pressurized.

Hmmmmm....good point. For the record I used the shower setting :p

Okay....so I un-plugged the signal relay and sprayed electronics cleaner into the connections. Also around the rear/front wire connectors.

Still no dice. Maybe I should buy some compressed air tomorrow and hose everything off????
