yeah, I've since gone back to the polyester jacket... That vest had armor in the back, and I literally live 2 exits from where this pic was shot, but I decided that was a mistake I won't be repeating... from now on, vest OVER jacket, not one or the other...

Heres my bike. Its an 85 vf500f that i picked up for 100 bucks and put about 600 bucks into restoring it. Its my first bike and I love it. Im looking into giving it a new paint job and a few other modifacations.

Theres no stuffing needed. You just have to change a few things like spacers. Yes the wheels come off an early model CBR f2 and allow you to put modern rubber on and get better handling.

And the reason you aren't seeing anything but early gen 500s is because this is an early gen 500 thread.

hints the white wheel, depending on your riding skill level and what the bike will be used for full suspension and cbr wheels are a must for the older vf bikes

Here is my 1986 collection. The 500 and 750 have been completely restored. I'm currently finishing up the 1000R.

How hard is it to do the rim swapout? I might have a buddy who wants to ditch some of those rims...

Thanks Matt. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went in to get those bikes in the shape they're in. Watching the progress of your project with your 500, you know what I'm talking about.

I think you're close. For the image you want to show, you can right click it and select properties to get the full URL of it, then you can embed it in the IMG tag.
