you could find a way to attach it to the saddlebag locations. Then you could carry two dogs ;)

On a semi-serious note, wind noise and temperature control might be an issue, depending on the length and speed of the ride(s). Just a thought...

For all of you cat lovers (and haters), if you want a serious laugh, look for a book called "101 Uses for a Dead Cat" by Simon Bond. I have had cats my entire life, but I also have a seriously twisted sense of humor. Some of the uses include pencil sharpener, oven mitts and bread holder. Sick but hilarious.

I hope I am reading your question correctly. The main problem as I see it is seeing if your girlfriend will fit in one of those carriers. I'd just duct tape the mutt to the inside of my windscreen. Gaffers tape works well too.

a secure carrier could save the little fluff ball's life... i've heard lots of stories of good carriers surviving crashes that vehicle's haven't. he might not like the noise and wind though.

ahhhh screw it get goggles and a little doggie helmet and a leather vest for the thing and train him to sit on your tank. you can put a little rubber mat on it and everything.

    what about one of these?

lol i want to know what you come up with!!!! how are you going to fit both your girlfriend AND the dog on the bike, or is she riding her own? how come she can't carry the dog?

There was a guy in my hood that had a Pomeranian and a Harley. The dog would leg hump his mirror stalks. I felt really sorry for the guy. He spent hours on the detailing of the bike. Didn't ride it much.

You dont need a dog carrier, just put him on a leash and have him pull you around on your bike.

seriosly tho, I knew a dude that carried his dog around in a backpack on the back of his suzuki. the dogs name was suzuki too.

I wont get into the philosophy if all the bad that can happen, cause that is a no brainer.

I would say thoagh, there are other things to concern yourself with, and hopefully protect against:
Noise - make sure it dont get to loud back there for the pooch
heat/cold - please dont make it too miserable
angle - its not like in a car, we lean these things to steer them, would hate to think of the doggie getting bounced off the walls of whatever you have him in

actually after looking at all my concerns I think it may be a bad idea to take a dog out on a sportbike. not flaming your post, just thinking of what I would do. I would not take my dog on my bike. These arent really meant to carry anything but a single rider.
