Well Derek came by this morning and took my 98 VFR home with him so I guess we have a new member to the VFR world!

I will be without a scooter for a while but I will be sure to watch the forum and add my 2cents where they may help others.

    Next bike???

Track only 600 or 750. I need to get the track desire out of my blood for a while and then who knows. If I could find a salvage VFR800 it could be a good project track bike so let me know if you come across one!

    Temporarily unhorsed I am.

awww shucks. well, I have been thinking bout the track bike thing myself lately. I'll probably go with something cheap to start though. I'd like to learn to ride a small bike well. the only thing is I may be too big for anything smaller than a 600. I guess we should say congrats on selling? I'm not sure what is the appropriate response. Will we be seeing Derek around here? One thing about it, if you do get a salvage VFR and set it up for track, you'll be one of the few. I don't know how well it'll hang with a 600 cc rider of the same skill level though. Be close I guess.

Yes I am very proud new owner of jethro's 98 VFR, he took better care of it than if it were in a museum. I have my work cut out for me to maintain that leval of VFR support. LOL

Will I be around here ??? Yes prolly, maybe not at much as some of you die hards, but I will hang.
I spend most of my time over on www.hardcoresledder.com I am a moderator over there. I am a sledder by heart, I live, eat, breathe, sleep sleds.
I hope I can add to this forum as I do over on the sled site. I am sure that I will be doing a lot of lurking and lots of reading for some time yet.
    Thanks
    Derek

Welcome to the wonderful world of VFR ownership Derek.
    I'm on my second one > http://home.ix.netcom.com/~tinkler/VFR.html
Don't know about that "sled" thing, ya see, I live in sunny southern California, and I'm allergic to snow :)
