I am in need of some data for my 2000 VFR fuel tank. I recently had my tank painted, however I did not record the location and types of labels that were on the fuel tank. Would someone take a picture of your stock fuel tank so that I
can get details of what labels belong and where the are supposed to be located. Thanks in advance to anyone that sends me pictures or details.

Are you talking about the Honda wings or the stupid "unleaded fuel" & "read your owners manual" stickers?

Do you want a close up?

Are you going to use decals or have the stuff painted on?

I'm not any help to you...... But while you're waiting for a good answer, I'll help keep this bumped to the front by asking why you would want this..... I just happen to be a "No label wherd-o", and took the lables off the 2nd day I bought mine..... Really, I'm not joking.... I'd like to know ......

    X2.

Why on earth would you want those ugly ass stickers? I took mine off while they were putting all my sales paperwork in a folder for me.

Well for one ,I already have the new ones to put on, I suppose when I said
that I wanted a complete set of labels the dealer took me quite literally and
ordered me a complete set of labels. So since I have them, I'll use them.
Monk, just as you dont appreciate labels ,I have always fancied myself somewhat interested in them. So if you guys will give me the placement
of the unleaded sticker and the always wear a helmet sticker ,I'll be a happy man and go away. regards eddie!

Sorry, as I said. I am of no help. I wasn't making fun just wondering....... But as long as we talk about it this post will stay on the lead front page and you might get someone that has pic's...... All I can remember is that the two you're asking about went toward the front of the gas cap and the front of the tank.... My guess is the fuel label would be the closest one to the fuel cap....

Yea Monk, logically speaking I would say that you are correct on the label placement, I
cant believe that I didnt make a drawing of all the small labels before I gave the take
to my nephew for painting. eddie

The "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" goes 1" past the cap in the direction of the seat.

The "OWNERS MANUAL" 3/4" toward the windscreen.

The "WEAR A HELMET" is 3/4" in front of that.

All 3 are centered on the tank using the filler cap as the centering point. I have no pictures but that's where they go.

A long time in the future, when these are classics, its going to be the bikes with the stickers that get the premium price for being original.

    I peel mine off.

Thanks to all that helped with this task,I measured everything up this morning, made a straight line across the tank with masking tape, I hate crooked decals , and applied
the labels. Now I can cross something off a very long list. eddie

I picked up my VFR in Kentucky and was taking it home to Pennsylvania in a Dodge Dakota. I taped everything that was above the roof to protect it from bugs, stones and anything else. I liked the way it looked.
