I was gonna quote you NCB...but I didn't know where to start. The fact that people die every day is true. The fact that four people have died on that stretch of road in the past three weeks, is disturbing to say the least. especially when Two of them, in the same accident were motorcycle riders IS disturbing.... I think vfrcpn wasn't being a 10 ft e penis, I think he was voicing a frustration about the people dying in the same strech of road......

And for what its worth to you....If you died in an accident even though we have never physically met....I would be saddened by the loss....yeah I care...I care about everyone out here that rides.....fates be damned I hope we all get to hang out on this screwy planet a long time.

    Peace brother

Yep, people die Pal, killed in many ways including by people who, like you, don't "give a fuck." I'm forced to wonder, just how many would "give a fuck" if your ticket got punched. Can't see it'd be many...

Don't know if I would go so far as giving a "full" fuck. But I would miss him at least a half a fuck. I'd pour some Maker's on the ground at his funeral and have the bagpiper play a JayZ tune.

Hell I might even go up to .75 of a fuck and start flaming people on a random forum in his honor.

LMAO. You are, by far, the funniest and sickest SOB on this forum. That's a complement, by the way. If you don't like it, I don't give a fuck or any fraction of a fuck thereof.

    2 cents

My thoughts always go to the lives that are derailed, minding your own one minute, planning a funeral the next.I only hope if its me or one of you that it be quick and you have your houses in order for the sake of your family as it will be a crushing blow for those left behind. The son of a friend was killed this weekend ,and crushed is a weak description.

Online Wordbook dictionary definitions of the word 'fate': 1. An event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future. 2. The ultimate agency regarded as predetermining the course of events. 3. Your overall circumstances or condition in life (including everything that happens to you).

For those of us who are interested in metaphysics (sans ANY 'religious' biases) I've been reading and studying this literature since the 9th grade, and so far I've found that the 'Seth Books' present the most eloquent and elegant alternate map of 'reality'. I've found the Seth Books to be among the required readings in my own search for spiritual wisdom and truth, untainted by any religious or philosophical dogma. YMMV.

At any rate, this question/issue of "fate" as it pertains to this discussion about motorcycle fatalities has compelled me to offer the following thoughts and beliefs, which are of course subjective and open to interpretation. I can only say what I feel is likely to be accurate about the greater reality. I don't care if you agree or disagree, I'm only trying to present some alternate ideas about the nature of the human experience. Inherent in this is an invitation to good-spirited debate and the exchange of beliefs and ideas...

    1) I choose to believe that we are multidimensional beings, and that all incarnations are simultaneous rather than sequential. Moreover, I choose to believe that we exist within an infinitely layered series of Multiverses rather than a Universe, and that we regularly move back and forth from one dimension of reality to many others without scarcely being aware of this, and one clue here is that we often do so with much joy while we are in the dream state, in which our souls are unfettered and freed from our physical bodies.

    2) Sacred Contracts: Before each incarnation, regardless of the chosen plane of existence, be it Earth School or some other, we confer with spiritual advisors and we carefully plan our curriculum, our schoolmates, our teachers, etc. We agree upon a Scared Contract, but we are all free to rewrite our contracts to some extent at any time because we are endowed with Free Will.

    3) I choose to believe that nature is not preordained as such, and that the notion of our being at the total mercy of 'Karma', and being railroaded by 'fate' is an illusion, no matter how tight that illusion may at first seem. The most unique aspect of Earth School is that we are given Free Will.

    4) Love and forgiveness are perhaps the most difficult lessons we're faced with when we come to Earth School, but none may be more challenging than lessons which involve self-love, self-forgiveness, forgiving others, and learning to let go of being judgmental towards ourselves and others. These tasks can be a real bitch, but if we weren't capable we wouldn't be here in the first place.

I am glad I was able to spur an enlightened discussion so full of insight. The various view points surely have allowed us all to grow a sentient beings and become more productive members of the global community.

As the ancient tribes of this grand continent on which we live were want to say, "Today is a good day to die."

I have heard much discussion along these same lines over the years. I play the didgeridoo and many didge circles eventually turn into or spawn off into discussions of universal theory, theology, energy and the like. Definitly massive amounts of food for thought to be had for any hungry mind

All I can say for myself is that I am sorry for the loss of these lives and the lives that have been lost before and those yet to be lost. People lose their life on a grand scale every day and it is something I choose to not focus on more than briefly as it has a profound effect on my mental well bieng.

As big and tough as I am outside ( or would like to believe I am  ) I am really tin skinned inside and the good and the bad in the world play on me heavily. I hope everyone takes care on and off of their motorcycles! be safe friends

    Why thank you........I think.

I wont give a fuck if you wont.

Redrover, I enjoyed your insights......... one of the interesting things about this forum and motorcycles in general is diverse opinions of those that ride.......we are not mainstream and we are all a bit squirrelly in one way or another. If we werent we would all live safe and normal lives and not be the introspective nut cases we are.

That all by itself makes us interesting people, we all have gradations of crazy in our make up......mine is just more overt I reckon........heheee

Toecutter is right, we all make fun of death because we fear what we dont know, and the pain of loss for others is real........

Tell somebody you care about that you love them today

Honestly dude, what does it matter what he was riding? 2 wheels is 2 wheels. what you ride is of your own personal choice and who is anyone else to say otherwise?

Yeah, I think my original thought was a little more down to earth, like a proper news story to generate some publicity, temporarily stepped up LEO enforcement, etc. I spent a lot of time on that road when I was learning to ride so I guess the carnage hit close to home.

Sorry to read about your friend's son TC.

What is interesting to think about is how many close calls ALL of us have had via motorcycling (assumption on my part, actually). I think of all of the "normal" things that I am expecting people to do, like oncoming cars turning left in front of me, cars changing lanes into me, cars running into me from the rear while I'm stopped at an intersection, etc.

And then there are the very weird things that happen like a tree falling across the road and landing on the car immediately in front of me at 50 MPH...

I don't know where I am going with this exactly, other than realizing that any one of us could die at any time, regardless of experience or reaction time.

Well, that was my introspection for the month. I think I'll go take a nap now. My head hurts.

Who minds your business when you're minding everyone elses? As for the, "Who would give a fuck?" Why would you waste your time thinking about me? I have an idea..because I didn't agree with you or follow your personally accepted thought process, so you started your little retaliation. I am not a follower and never will be, I don't buy tickets on the bandwagon and I call 'em like I see 'em. Stand in line if you don't like my opinion...there's only a hundred other fuckers in front of you.

This whole thread would have been another group bitch/contrived grieving/witchhunt session had it not been for me laying a pimp slap on this fucking bullshit. At least now it has a twisted sense of poetic justice to it.
