hey guys my names coty and i just bought my first street bike an 86 vfr...which i layed down the other day... but now i have an excuse to start painting. i took all the panels off and am sanding everything with 600 grit sandpaper, as soon as i figure out how to get off the decals i will be ready to paint.

im totally new to street bikes, (rode dirtbikes forever but its a whole different world)

im also pretty new to carbs, i went to a tech school for 2 years and my specialty is fuel injection.

im also on d.series.org its a great site and am hoping this site is just as fun and helpful

I've never tried it but been told Easy-Off oven cleaner works well for decal remover...sounds like you have little to lose by trying. Good luck!

    Decals?

    Heat, nice and low...

Then, hit 'er with goo gone and peel....

3m sells a scotch wheel that I've used on cars to erase glue residue without damaging the paint. Chuck it up into you drill and have a go.

Just be careful not to build up too much heat....
