Hey there folks. Just got back in to bikes after a 14 year break.(can u say snowmobile?) Life was gonna be short had I kept my Ninja's in my younger days. I am SLIGHTLY wiser now and no longer totally fearless and indestructable - should work better for a sportbike now.
This site rocks, really helped me to make an informed decision to buy the best all-round bike. After months of searching I bought a 98 with 8100km, never seen rain, not a scratch. WOWZERS what an awesome bike! Put on just under 4000km in the last 3 weeks - very comfy for long distance rides and more than enough giddy-up-go for me!
I ordered a Scorpion SS slip-on from Jazz Motorsports. I love the stock sound but she needs a little more bark. I will post a sound clip once it's installed if you folks are interested. Ordered an Elite seat sack thanks to you guys.

??? I am 5'7" and catch the wind at the upper chest/shoulders with stock windscreen, no buffeting. Is there a windscreen out there that will move the airflow up to mid helmet or will this just cause buffeting? I am happy with stock but wouldn't mind deflecting the bugs up over my helmet. Any comments from someone my size?
Anyone out there know of a good aftermarket supplier in Canada?

    Cheers eh! Tim

I have upgraded to the Zero Gravity Dubble Bubble Tall, in Dark Smoke. I'm 6'0" and it helped greatly with the buffeting. I still get some buffeting, but don't like the look of the touring screens so won't upgrade any time soon.

Many people here like the ZG DB and the Givi touring.

like canib said, you could get the ZG DB or the Givi. I have the givi. I'm 6'1" and with the givi and heli bars, the wind hits me right where you described with no helmet buffet. I am not crazy about the flip at the top of the givi, though. I tried to go to the stock screen and my helmet was floating all over the place. It was very annoying after getting used to the givi.

Hey Timbercat. Welcome to the group and thanks for the compliments. Glad you are enjoying the new ride. I agree the VFR is an awsome bike that just flat out rocks. I am 5'7" as well but I find the stock screen does the job well. But thats just me as everyone is different.

Welcome Timbercat,I about your hieght and I went with a sport MRA.It has a lip about 1inch higher than stock. It worked well moving the air flow up a bit and help with the Buffeting.
Plus you dont get that look of a full touring screen like a Givi.(not a looker that forsure)

Heres a front and side view of the sheild.
And quality and fit are awsume..
