I have a question about whether or not the aftermarket rectifier that does not have a sensor will work. I have been having charging problems and after doing some testing on the original rectifier determined it was bad. I ordered a replacement one and did not notice until I received it that it did not have the sensor that the original one had. I checked other ones online as well and it seemed like most of the aftermarket ones dont come with the sensor. I installed it but I am worried that not having this sensor will either damage the bike or not work as intended. Any help concerning this would be greatly appreciated.

What "sensor" are you referring to?

Man, I've been working on those bikes for decades and I've never heard of an IC sensor. Especially not one that is connected to the R/R. I'll have to check my wiring diagram to see if I can figure out what that is supposed to mean.

Sensor for a voltage gauge ???

There were several "models" of the VF1000F. Maybe one of them has it?
