    Hey All,

Anyone Know What After Market Exhaust Systems Will Fit With The Honda Sidebags/mounting Bars For My 06? The Dealership Was No Help!!

Also, What Tank Bag Should I Go With? My Bike Has The Pearl White Paint And I'm Paranoid About Scratching Her!!

Thanks In Advance For The Help...

I feel the same way about the paint on my red '05. I have the Chase Harper CR2 magnetic tank bag. Very powerful magnets prevent the bag from moving; I can vouch for 120 mph at least. It comes with a secutiry strap, but I never use it. Underside is some sort of soft rubberized material that protects paint. Any magnetic tank bag will pick up loose staples, screws and the like. So check the underside before you put it on.

The CR2 is one of Chase Harper's smaller models. Nevertheless, it holds my spare shield, TourMaster 2-piece rainsuit, Treds overboots, digital camera and miscellaneous small stuff. http://www.chaseharper.com/TankBags/TankBags.htm?al=540m&fr=0540m.htm&

I have factory exhausts. The factory bags curve around the mufflers with very little clearance. Any aftermarket mufflers that don't have the factory shape/size may be a problem. (As an aside, I like the factory exhaust. Quiet as a Civic in the neighborhood; wails like a banshee when Vtech kicks in. And I'd be concerned about how the ECU will handle a different exhaust.)

Congrats on your '06! If this is your first VFR, you will love it...

I have a cortech tank bag that came with the bike and I really like it.

It’s big enough to throw a spare shield and rain gear in and has a map pocket on top that holds my GPS just fine. I was also worried about scratches but so far, nothing. As Florida said I always check the bottom before I stick it on. I had it on for fast interstate trips as well as twisties with no problem.

I have remus exhaust on my 03. The fit is extremely tight, and I had to spend several hours lining them up, but I got them to fit with my bag mounts.
