Official VFR sighting thread

Fort Lost in the Woods...........I was there in late '90, I hated that place

Sunday June 7th at the "First Sunday" in Ephrata, PA. I saw a bunch of Viffers:

1. A white Gen 6 on the outskirts of Ephrata.
2. A red Gen 5 with a D&D pipe parked near me in the grass.
3. A silver Gen 6 w/ Givi bags parked on the pavement
4. A red Gen 4 with a Two Bros exhaust parked next to a Magna.
5. A RW&B Gen 6 riding in.
6. A red Gen 6 riding in while I was riding out.

 

holy shit i couldnt imagine seeing that many veefers in the same day!
ive only seen 2 other ones, since ive had mine... an 86 and a 06 or 07...
i need to get outa the keys... lol

 

LIKE IT'S THAT BAD TO LIVE IN THE KEYS...well besides the roads...lol

I’ve got 5 sightings in the past month. It’s so cool to see a VFR while out and about. :smile:

White 6th generation with Hondaline panniers pulling into the O’Reilly auto parts store on the west side of Madison WI 6 pm June 11th.

Red 6th generation on Century Avenue in Middleton WI the morning of June 8th .

Red 6th generation parked off of Hwy 33 east of Horicon, WI the morning of May 28th. I'll concede that I might have been hallucinating, though (all other sightings are certainties).

Force Silver 6th generation headed toward Baraboo WI on Hwy 12 near Devil’s Lake S.P. the Sunday afternoon before Memorial Day. Part of a group of six sport bikes (I know it’s a pride of lions and a business of ferrets – but, what’s a group of sport bikes – or a group of VFRs?). :happy:


Red 4th generation parked at the Baraboo university campus on May 8th & 11th. I spoke to the owner for a few minutes – he said it was a 1995. The paint was in near-showroom condition and it certainly wasn’t a repaint. I’m not familiar with that generation, but I was struck by how beautiful it was. Very distinctive Y Chromosome louvers on the fairings.

I saw two:

A yellow one on 6/10 passing the Quaker Steak Lube on 49th Street in Pinellas Park FL around 7:30 pm (that place is BANGING! on Wednesday for Bike Nite, BTW), and a red one parked at the thrift shop on 16th Street and around 30th Ave North in St Pete. His was missing the lower fairings and both were Gen 5's.

 

Hey! I got one! Listen up Tucson:
Sunday morning about 9:40 am (June 13). A 6th gen red VFR coming up the "front" side of Gates Pass. A great morning to be out in the desert...

 

Saw a Red 5th Gen in Bel Air, MD on Prospect Mill Rd. at 0715 on Mon 6/15/09.

I'm guessing the rider was headed to work on Aberdeen Proving Ground, since they were wearing a orange vest.

 

Michigan 6th Gen - I94 EB near Rawsonville Road

Red 6th gen heading Westbound on I94 near Rawsonville Road just west of Detroit Metro Airport/ 275 around 4pm Monday, 6-15-09.


I was the guy waving like a lunatic on the red 5th Gen heading East.

 

Wow Coyote, that brings back nice memories of my youth when I lived in Bethesda. My older brother would drag the family to ABerdeen to look at all the WWII tanks and big guns.

in CT on 91 north 5:45 pm got off exit 47E
helmet yes - gloves maybe? backpack no jacket or boots.
Think this is same person spotted last year in springfield MA 91 south got off in CT same exit.

 

i'm fairly certain I saw a silver 6G with saddlebags on I-44 near Rolla, Missouri at around 2:30 today. I was the RWB waving

 

06/18/2009 Saw a RWB 6th gen going southbound I5 through Tacoma WA I believe it was, I was on my White and black 2nd Gen with a topcase and saddlebags headed north.

 

I saw a 5th gen (I think) had a really bad paint job at a distance but when I got up to it it was black with a sparkle kinda paint job ......like on a bass boat but a little more subtle.... oh yeah parked at the UCSB. by the freshman dorms....last tuesday

 

Silver 6th Gen with fender eliminator and after market pipes in London, Ontario heading through Lambeth June 19th @ 5:10pm. I was in my cage and could not catch up. Vanity plate that I wish I had!!

 

Rode the Parkway for a while with the wife, yesterday. My buddy was with us for a while on his 4th, gen, not wife. Saw a silver 6th, and later, another 4th.
Both were headed south in Va.
Stopped at Marbry Mills, an saw a '79 CBX, will 6500 miles, with MO plates, next to a Pacific Coast, next to a 907 IE. Little mini antique bike show!

I was on my bicycle on Saturday 6/20 along Ina Road in Tucson. Around 11am a red 6th gen went right by me heading west. The interesting thing was he appeared to be in one-piece leathers (lately my VFR sightings have been folks in very little protective gear). Looked very cool. Anyone on the Forum?

White 6th Gen rolled on by the house on N. Main Street in Hightstown around 5:30 this evening. Rider wearing a modular helmet in the up position. Anyone here? Next time stop by.
