    Greetings all,

I've had my 91 VFR 750F for a few years now (she's my baby restored after what may have been a few owners abusing her), and one thing I've noticed is that a LOT of hot air vents out right through the metal sides and next to my THIGHS. This gets pretty darn HOT after 10 miles or so, particularly in summer when you want to be in shorts.

Does ANYONE have any advice on mods or bolt-ons which can IMPROVE how/where this hot air vents (like out the bottom or back)?

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Cheers,
    -Mark

LOL Mmm first off, don't wear shorts. but yea that was about the only drawback to owning one of those was after a while your legs get a bit warm, ;) another way to keep cooler is to ride it at a decent pace, not poking around down town. not saying you do bt the more freash air you get what I mean. but as far as I know there's no mods for this as the vents are in the frame and are made to draw the engine heat out right there is what it is, I say get some leathers, that'll help in more ways than one.

Never noticed a problem on mine, but then again I only ride in leathers.

I ride my 3rd Gen in a thong and assless chaps and I enjoy the burning sensation. It almost burns as much as when I pee.

Newsflash! You don't look cool riding around on a motorcycle wearing shorts.

The fix? Buy some motorcycle specific gear and your problem will be minimized. I had a 93 and the synthetic suit I wear helped keep the heat off me.

    Frame

If you notice it is the frame that gets so hot and you can do nothing about it, just the way it is unless you put bike pedals on and go moped style.

ok I'll be nice riding in shorts just dumb..hope you aren't doing that really in summer its just hot on your whole body man thats all there is to it maybe try and block off or prototype some plastic inside the fairing to redirect the flow of air but in summer during the day just plan to sweat..........
