    Hey Gang-

After 10 years without a street bike (my 2nd CBR600F3 was stolen in '98 and I never replaced it) I recently got the bug again. At almost 40, I knew a VFR would be a better fit than another rice rocket.

I found a gorgeous '00 in Yellow with 20k with a cracked fairing but otherwise perfect, asking price of $4900; KBB Trade-In is $3200. Offered $3500 but the seller wouldn't budge. I was bummed until I came across the bike I just put a deposit on.

Tell me if this seems fair: Red '04 with 7k miles, Two Brothers exhaust and Heli bars, otherwise stock, never down, perfect shape except some minimal rusting on the chain. KBB Tade-In is $4300...I paid $4k, plus he threw in a Joe Rocket Jacket and a Scorpion EXO-400 helmet.

Seems like a really good deal, but it's hard to tell with the market what it is. In any case, I'm frikkin' stoked!

Sounds like a good deal too me. I paid $5000 for my 04 in March and it was completely stock.

You've done well sir!!! At 7k miles the engine is really just starting to break in and come into it's prime. Take good care of her and you'll be riding her for a long long time!! Welcome to the madness!

    Regards,
    Rollin
