I noticed on my way into work this morning that I didn't have any blinkers. And at lunch I went out to try my horn and it didn't work either. I'm guessing a bad fuse, so can anyone tell me where the fuse pannel is for the blinkers? Its an 06 if that helps. Thanks Bill...

Drop your hand straight down from the throttle and it should land on the fuse cover.

If it was low blinker fluid wouldn't the blinkers still work, but just not as bright? And the switch would be spongy...
    Thanks for the info Maggot.

The horn and blinkers are vital, possibly life saving, equipment.

    Stupid answers, often cost lives.

I still can't believe you never saw the fuse box before today.

Looks like were ready for another pre-ride inspection lecture.

LOL damn you ruin all the fun. Seriously yea check the fuse. but that said I still think it's low on slick 50 not blinker fluid, as he said the horn didn't work either.

I don't need Slick 50, I have twice coated chrome plated horn bearings. So I can get away with using the cheaper Slick 48! But now it keeps blowing fuses. I replaced the fuse, turned the power on and everything worked fine. When i started the bike to go home nothing worked again. I've looked around and don't see any wires rubbing together anywhere. Any ideas on what to check next?

If it keeps blowing fuses you probably have a wire pinched or a short going on somewhere, it might be intermittent. I haven't looked at the bulbs closely on the 6th gen, are there any turn signal bulbs that are dual filament, like brake light and turn signal or parking light and turn signal in one bulb? Sometimes on cars i've seen where one filament breaks and touches the other and causes weird things to happen with the lights.

Ok, so after looking at everything I could think of I still couldn't find a pinched wire or any signs of a short. So I took it to the dealer to see if they could find the problem. After a few hours (and 80 bucks) he told me its a bad turn signal relay.. Does this make sense to anyone? When i replaced the fuse I turned the key on and everything worked fine, but when I start the bike it blows the fuse. If it is/was the relay wouldn't the fuse blow as soon as the key is turned on? Why is it only when I hit the starter that the fuse blows? And the relay cost $75 dollars!! Thanks for the help all. Bill..

did you get the old relay back? I would check the old relay. some shops might have just told you that, swapped relays, and fixed the underlaying problem, like a pinched wire (hidden) or something easy, just to get more money from you?

No, I ordered the relay my self from Service Honda for 58bucks. I used the service manual I found on this site and it walks you through how to trouble shoot and I also came up with a bad relay.. Will see...

I have a 2007 RWB - I've also had a problem with my signals and the fuse blowing. Brought it into the shop, and they couldn't figure out what the problem was. Instead of finding the problem, they did there own wiring job (as I just found out), resulting in working blinkers, but the hazards don't work any more. Anyway, I foolishly accepted this solution, and have been riding a couple of months with no problems. A couple of days ago, my signals no longer worked, and the fuse is not blown (horn works). I've stripped the bike down, and found out about the new wiring job they've done. In the shop manual, it shows two hazard diodes on the schematic page - a left and right. Is there in fact two, or is there only one? The detail info on page 21-25 (I think) only discusses a single hazard diode. Anyway, I'm pissed and trying to work backwards from the mess they've made. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

This may be relevent and maybe not.. My 91 did the same thing. Had to pull the upper fairing off and physically inspect the wiring bundle for a short. Sure enough, that is what was going on.

So far, it's starting to look like they've bypassed the hazard diodes, cut out and/or bypassed the original signal wiring, and really upset me. I'm going in the garage to check it out some more. So far, I haven't found any shorts (or shorts to ground).

Any way to tell the difference between the 'old' front wiring harness, and the replacement used in the recall?
