I am looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 84 VF750. I am not looking for performance just something to give it some more sound. Does anyone have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat...Unfortunatley we have old bikes and "after-market" stuff is very hard to find.... the best I can recomend is check E-BAY early and often.. Fortunately, mine is in good shape for now.

Once and a while I get "Idea'rs" as they say on american chopper about getting a pipe bender and custome making asa set with a set of slip-ons... But Motivation has not come yet....

Yeah. I surf fleabay all the time looking for exhaust, parts, etc. I thought like you did about custom building a system. But I don't think its worth the cost. I think for a vintage bike the money would be better spent restoring it to orig. My bike needs a paint job and set of new decals.

I do not know if you have found any exhaust for your ceptor but when I had my 84 there was a company that built a nice set of pipes for these. It was mfg'd under the name F-1,I had these on my 750 and they sounded very nice but did not require carb work. They were even relatively cheap.

Cobra used to make the F-1's for those bikes. I am currently looking for my 86 750 and it's not been easy for the older bikes. I have found that e-mails to sails departments of pipe makers do work.
