I'd buy any decal that was offered from VFRworld. I'd definately support it.

    UPDATE: Price reduced!!!

Michael PM'd me today and it is our consensus that at this time we will sell the decals for cost. This means that red, white, blue, and black decals will be $1.00 each and the carbon fiber decals will be $1.20 each. For those who already purchased decals, much thanks to you and some of the money from those sales went to VFR World as I said I would do.

So let's spread the word with a decal promoting the site and bring in some more members!!! :thumb:

RV, have you had a chance to see about another type of decal?
At this time, I do not have a source for a decal using the VFR World logo and my time has been limited recenlty and I have not had time to hunt down a new source. For the simple type of decals, like the www.vfrworld.com one, I still have my local source.

    Much thanks to all.
    Thanks

if you have pay pal, use the email vinnymiller1701@yahoo.com with the color and number of decals you want as well as your mailing address.

    For example:
    If you want 2 White decals, the cost is $1.00 x 2 = $2.00
    If you want 1 White decal and a carbon fiber decal, it's $1 + $1.20 = $2.20

I will also include some simple installation instructions and you can always PM me here or at the yahoo address with any q's.

I threw together a couple of quick logo proposals for your consideration. You can see all three in my gallery here on VFRWorld. Here's my favorite from those three...

Hey Vinny, if you're coming to the gap next month, throw some in your bag. I'll take one of each.

    Cecil,

I like the lettering style on that one. Can I see it with just lowercase and no graphic?

I'll be there on the weekend of Sept. 15th with the vfrd crowd. I will be arriving sometime Friday night.

I like the logo_1, but they all look great. Do you know what fonts you were using? I'll print a copy out and see how much to get it made.

If someone else has a source they know of who can make these (any of these) can you see get a cost?

The font is called SLIPSTREAM and it capitalizes everything (no lowercase). That would be cool...

I like Cecil's slipstream font, I think it would look pretty cool centered over the globe graphic though. My two cents, it should be somewhat flashy & eyecatching.

I'm still watching/waiting for some to match my PNW decal not to rain on anyone parade, just as stated by some, needs some zing IMO. Just a small tip, lets keep the photo/drawings of any particluarl VFR off the decal, that way it will work for all here. and maybe others as well A great Font will work wonders.

I am not a designer, hehe. I also did not get any response abot using a differnt font, some samples I did post. I think we should have more than one type of decal inorder to be more diverse. CHeck Post # 8 for some different style fonts or if you have one you prefer, let me know. I am easy to work with. lol

nothing has jumped out at me yet, but the slipstream font is getting closer to what I have in my mind's eye. I just cant form it up enough to get it on paper... I have something coalescing but not quite concrete... It's gotta be right...

I was home sick today so played around a bit with a new logo, based on many of the comments here. I don't love this, but let me know what you like/don't like about it. RVFR, I like your PNW logo, maybe between you and AZViffer we can come up with something fabulous in time for the calendar!

I agree with leaving a picture of a VFR out, but I like the idea of a globe incorporated.

If anyone likes it and is interested in playing around with it, I can send you the PSD file.

I kind of like it. Is the black background gonna actually be clear so it would just look like the white letters if you put it on a color? I think this is my favorite so far. I still feel like it's missing something, but damned if I can figure out what...

O.K. this is very conceptual so bare with me. While I was sitting in traffic this morning in my car I started to sketch out a idea I had for the VFR decal.
I tried my best, with the basic print program I have on my MAC at home to duplicate my idea a littlte cleaner. As you can see I couldn't get the circles quite right like my original sketch. But I did darken in what the outline would be.
Anyways don't know if I'm spinning my wheels with this or if anybody thinks it's O.K.
    NEED SOME FEEDBACK.
