After I wrecked last June I just repaired the body work and painted it a semigloss black. Most people like it but the paint isn't real even adn is starting to chip on the tank and a few other areas. I was wondering if anyone has taken their bike somewhere like Maco or Peach or some other cheap autobody paint place and is so how did they like their results. I'm Not looking for anything really flashy or super nice just a simple one color job that doesn't like like I used a spray can.

In my experience Maaco is only about one step up from doing it yourself. The paint goes on very thin, the clear in even thinner. It won't last long but will last longer than your last job. Remember you get what ya pay for. Maybe look for a VFRW guy that has the talent and can use the cashola.

What did you use to paint it? Why not just wet sand it, shoot it again and clear it? If you scratch it etc you can always just wet sand the clear and buff it.

Or, I used a single stage that lays down really nice, no post sanding/buffing required and if it chips you can spray a little on, wet sand and buff that little patch.
