Good morning all... I was wondering what you folks think of the puig racing screen for the gen 6 bike? i am 6'5 and the stock screen has the wind right under my chin trying to push my helmet off. i looked at the ZG double bubble, but im not sure i like the look. does anyone have the Puig racing screen or have pics of it? any thoughts would be appreciated

I have the Puig on mine and I love it. I can't compare it to others, or even stock. Mine came on the bike when I bought it. I'm only 5'10" so your dome will certainly be sitting up higher than mine, but in normal riding position the wind goes right over me. If I pop my head up 3 or 4 inches, I can feel it blasting me in the face. I like the look of shorter ones, but in this case comfort outweighs fashion IMO. Hope that helps

I have it and like both the look and the function. It moved the air up enough for me. I am 6'.

Just installed a new Puig DB on my bike a couple of weeks ago. Excellent screen! I am 5' 9" tall, and this screen has been an excellent addition to the bike. Looks great and does a fine job of directing the wind up higher vs. the stock screen. The Puig DB is a functional improvement as compared to the stock screen.

Ive got the pugi. I cut it down. It just looked so retarded. I regret it for the windprotection, but my bike will be a pure track bike once I get the supercharger on it . I mean ummm shit.

Thanks, those are the best pics of a PUIG on a 6th gen VFR on the entire internet! I'll be putting the word in the wife's ear for father's day!

I dont know if it's the same on the VFR, but Puig made the best fitting windscreens for the Yamaha R6. They just seemed to fit perfectly compared to the Zero Gravity ones. I have a ZG on my VFR that the PO purchased for it. It doesn't fit quite right and is always bouncing around. I assume that's mostly due to the way the windscreens are mounted on the 6th Gen. I'd like to hear how the Puig does.

I have a Puig DB and it doesn't fit. The four tabs don't line up, they are far too narrow. I had my upper cowl off, so I stretched the screen to fit in the holes, but getting it off was a PITA, plus it scratched around the tab holes on the cowl. Unfortunately, I had it for a couple of months before trying to install. Will eventually get around to seeing what motorcycle superstore will do for me, but I won't be terribly surprised if it's nothing.

Well, I ordered the dark smoke racing windscreen, it came in yesterday and I installed it last night.. took all of maybe 20-25 min to install, pretty painless. Now "Sylvia" looks even more sleek.. I love it.. My 6 year old son commented that it looks even more like a transformer now! I will post pics later in the day.. thanks for all the advice fellas! next on the list, sargent seat or two bros. exhaust...!

PS.. are there frame sliders avail for this bike?

Curtis6798, any pics or thoughts on your new wind screen? Oh and I went with the R & G frame sliders, very nice. There not made to save plastic, but when I droped my bike in the garage, not a scratch.

I hope the Puig fits better then my ZG screen. The ZG DB screen i have fits like ass, gaps all over the place and its not shaped properly along the seams so there is like a indentation that should continue but stops before fairing ends so it doesn't sit flush.

is that the double bubble, or racing screen. do you have to be in the tuck position or can you sit straight up. do you think it controls the wind better than the touring screen, it sure looks sharp on your bike

The stock screen is killing me for windblast and noise! I'm about 5' 8"- I was leaning toward getting the Givi- anyone compare the Puig to the Givi- I'd like to get rid of the wind totally if possible! Gonna be putting Helibars on soon also in case that changes things!
