First of all I apologize if this seems like a noob question but I have only had my VF for a couple months. It's an '84 1000 and I'd like to put the VFR style full fairing on it instead of the small lower cowling but I'm not sure if it would fit. I have done some looking around on Ebay and found one for sale from an '85 VFR but it's in pretty rough shape. Is there anywhere that I can buy something aftermarket? Is this even possible?

FYI - The 85 is a VF1000R, not a VFR. That helps when searching.

The 1000R bodywork fits, of course, since the F and R is 99% the exact same bike. The mounts are in different places, so you would need to fabricate something to fasten the bodywork too. That would be the most difficult part because the last thing you want is bodywork that hangs crooked.

    You might try....

Airt Tech. They have a pretty good selection of body work.

    Good luck

Also, if you want to go to the VF1000R fairings, you can get new fiberglass ones complete from poly26.com.

And don't forget to do your top end oil mod.
