so one of my regular customers comes in the shop over the weekend to get some bicycle parts. he is a neighbor of one of my guys, and i knew that he has an "alternative" motorcycle. i didnt see him ride up, and he was not carrying a helmet. he gets ready to leave and says, "so you wanna see my bike?"

we walk outside and there sits a mostly custom built "Boss Hoss"

i think most are built around a 350, but NOOOOO! he's got a damn 454

he is a fabricator of human replacement parts, well skilled in alloys and CF. homemade tank, bars, fenders, wheels and other assorted bits, mostly from his own hands.

i say- "whats that thing weigh?" he says- " i dunnknow, maybe 1400 lbs".

so he pulls on the toy helmet, and cranks the beast. big lumpy monster with basically a straight pipe! good lord it shook everything in a 75 FT radius.

engages reverse, straightens it out, then smokes and burns the 300 rear across the parking lot.

i gotta tell you, not my cup of tea, but pretty impressive in a wierd way.

The Boss Hoss is a pretty sweet machine. Just wait until you come up on one on the highway and they give it the gas, it will blow you away!

I also saw a 454 Boss Hoss at the bike show in Atlanta a few months ago. It was a pretty impressive machine but like you I would never own one. I'm guessing that most people who own bikes like that are trying to compensate for their shortcomings in other areas if you know what I mean LOL !!!

    Regards,
    Rollin
