Hi, this is my first thread, i have undertaken a project VFR800 VTEC '02 and am trying to find some parts, can anyone tell me where i can get aftermarket engine covers for both sides from. Also looking for new instrument panel cover, just the plastic bit not the whole clock. as well as carbon fluid covers from.

i will also be searching for black handle bar risers and pretty much every part in black. Want to turn the bike completely black from the frame up. Any additional pointers will be helpful.

    Hope you guys can help.

    • Never heard of aftermarket engine covers - assuming you mean the valve covers - but someone else may have.
    • Sometimes the Instrument Cluster Plastic turns up on eBay. Otherwiser Bike Bandit.com has very low prices on new parts - and I've always liked the orders I receive.
    • Can't say I've seen CF Master Cylinder Covers - mostly chrome. But they are the same as a lot of other Honda's and I beleive some kawasaki's - mostly street bikes or cruiser types I think. Goldwing may have them too if I am not mistaken. These covers are used on a lot of different bikes.
    • I would look into the '09 model for black parts - which is expensive, or powdercoat and paint some of them. Like the Master Cylinders are something that needs to be painted because of the sight glass and internals.
I thought about going black too. Might sound kinda ghetto, but I used black washable fingerpaint on the parts and it looked awesome on the Candy Red '07 I have!!! But I kinda like it stock looking too. And it's a lot of work. Some parts are best powder coated, some like the Master Cylinders you can't.

I know there is a guy on this board with a Black VFR that has Red Anodized parts on it. ...found it - "astrodude" I stole a pic of his - amazing looking bike!! Try looking him up. I'll PM you a pic of my Candy Red in Black. And let me know what you find.
