    Time for some tire advice.
I put a set of dunlop roadsmarts and ran them 13k mi. While they still have life left it will be soon time for another set.
I need a long lasting tire and I ride year round, so some type of dual compund tire is probably best.
    Any thoughts??

I must say the dunlops where impressive, esp. in the rain!

13K is great! I have the Pilot Road 2's with 7K on them and they still look great. I'm not sure if I'll get 13K, but they are so much better than the OEM tires. Is there some reason you want something other than the Roadsmarts?

why would you want to go to a different tire if you got such good mileage out of those?

I am happy with the dunlops and I could probably sqeeze 15k out of these, but I allways wonder what else is out there.
Some of the guys at work use Pilot powers and love 'em, but I need the mileage.
Two sets of tires a year would set off the wife!!
The dunlops are the first tires I've had that don't wear out in the center from commuting all the time. Dual compound really works!

It would be nice to have two sets of rims, one for reg. riding and one for getting happy!

I think you can get a season out of the Pilot Road 2s. They are dual compound, too, and are showing no wear after almost 8K. If you go that way, I would be interested in how you think they compare to the Roadsmarts.
