First off thanks for having me here, I hope to become a true member soon. I currently ride a 2005 Z750S but have always had a sweet sport for the Interceptor. I was at a shop getting some new tires put on when I saw the new RWB. I had no intention of buying a new bike but instantly found myself talking trade in with the sales guy. They have it listed for $8549. They offered my 4 grand for my bike which I am OK with since that is what I paid for it in September and I have put 5k miles on it. I've gotten them to throw in a $500 gift certificate I can use toward the bike....Oh and the price is OTD aside from tax. I think this price is pretty good but I do want to try and get either a little more off or some free gear like a new helmet, or extended warranty...any advice.

Also, how do you think I will like going from the Z750S to the VFR? Thanks guys.

That price is high, I hope it come with the hardbags........
Is it a brand new bike? I guess that price is typical for stealership. Unless you get cash in hand. I seen them list from $7000 to $9000
BTW welcome to the forum, post some pictures if you can and keep the rubbers down.

That sounds like a good deal to me. You might be able to get a little more out of them, but I'd feel good about that price and it's getting harder to find the RWB bikes. I think the norm price drop that people assoc with a 2yr old bike still on the showroom floor doesn't apply as much to the RWB bike, but I am biased because I think the bike looks so nice. I have seen a few of them in person and they are hard to resist once you get an eyeball on them. just so I have it straight, the price is not counting the money they are gonna subtract for your trade right? it's hard to sell a used bike right now so the trade in is probably the way to go. if you can get the bags thrown in, that's good because they can be a chore to have to buy later on.

Get them to throw on some better rubber, I can't believe how slippery the sportmax's are that came with mine. I just took off the stockers and put my rims and tires off my 03 on, Avon storms with the gloss black rim, I like them much better and I think I even like the gloss rim better than the charcoal it came with, hmm, might be a permanent swap.

I purchased a brand-new Dark Candy Red 2007 for 7885 back in late Feb. of this year. They also had the RWB '07 and wanted 8K for it. Therefore, I think the price is a little high.

    $8549 - $500 in gift card = $8049

minus the 4k trade = $4049 not bad in my book .. all you'd loose on your "old" bike was the tax you paid on the 4K you bought it for

try to get the hard bags in that deal or use the $500 GC & have the dealer foot the rest ..

the stock tires do suck :(

    Pretty valid points....just to clarify...
They have the bike listed at $8,459. They are offering me $4,000 for my bike. hey are then offering a $500 gift certificate used for the purchase or anything else at the shop. The bike is a Zero mile 2007 RWB. As far as I know it has never had an initial prep or anything. I am going to really inspect it Saturday.

Does anyone know the dealer price for the saddlebags? Or how much the dealer pays for the warranty? The more info I can bring in my favor, the better.

Another thing, I had gotten tires mounted on Saturday and the mechanic did not tighten down the rear axle nut. I rode 150 miles before I decided to check it. Obviously this is a pretty serious mistake, I was riding somewhat easy with the new rubber but was still going pretty fast. I called the next day and told them about the mistake and they were really apologetic and offered a free service. Should I bring this to the attention of the owner(person I am dealing with) in hopes of him giving me more or would it be unwise to possibly get a service guy in trouble, who might do my initial service?

Lastly, is it required to have them do the servicing to maintain the warranty? I don't really trust anyone but myself to do the work right....especially after this situation....Thanks guys, I look forward to being a VFR owner. Hope it is the right bike for me.

Z750 is a nice bike. But the gen6 has alot more to offer. Im an avid fan of the 1 liter inline nakid bikes myself, wife has a gen 3 and little brother had a gen 6 (stolen) and now is on a gen 5,(my personal favorite VFR), I hope to be back on Honda if they get their collective heads out of their asses and bring in CB1000R to the states.
