A month ago I installed ebc sintered brake pads on my 5th gen bike.

I have about 200 miles on them now and when I hit the rear brake hard the front end takes a huge dive and feels like a might go over the bars.

I don't remember my brakes feeling like this before the pad replacement.

Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks

Part of it is the normal linked brake system - bang on the rears, the front engages too. Your mention of the front forks diving is exactly why I decided to rip the system outta there! It drove me bonkers!
    -Sry, not much help otherwise.....

This is a new one to me. Even with the linked brakes I do not notice that much front end dive when I mash the rear hard. Hmmmmmm......

I do know that the 6th gen was re-plumbed by Honda to lessen the effect. I have seen threads of 5th genners who redid the brake lines like the 6th.

mine had a bit of dive, but switching to stiffer springs made it less.

I was able to lock up my rear brake before the pad change.

The front end diving doesn't have me as worried as the idea of coming into a corner too hot and all I have is two front brake levers.

I don't know how long the brake pads take to wear in or if that has anything to do with this.

If I mash the rear brakes it dips just as bad in the front as if I hit the front lever itself.

you could always go back to stock pads that are not as agressive as the pads you put in.
