Will VF700 Forks fit a 500?

Having some trouble locating a set of forks for my 500, but I found a set of 700 forks near me for a good price. Will they fit? and can I put the 700 forks in the 500 sliders or no?

did you try E-bay there were a few unless they've ended.

 

The last ones I saw started at $145 with no guarantee that they were straight.

Those prices are ridiculous. They want $300 for a set of used forks, and I can get a NEW set made by Franks Forks for $250.

Does anyone know if vf700/750/1000 forks are the same as a vf500?

 

I don't think they're the same Bill, but I don't know why you couldn't switch to a set of 700 forks in a 500 bike.

As far as interchanging parts between 500 and 700 forks, I doubt it, but don't have any experience with it to know for sure.

 

i have a full setup.. front forks, wheel and good tire, tripple tree, brakes, etc..
id sell everything for $200 plus shipping
