I know the way to change fork oil is to remove the forks and flush them out but for a quick oil change is it possible to drain the oil from the bottom plug and add new oil by unscrewing the top cap? Is the bottom plug for draining or is it for the oil level mark? I've scoured the manual and can't find any reference to this.
    Thanks.

Thanks Squirrelman. So the plug is there for draining, not for level marking right? The remaining dirty oil will be in space below the plug?

You will have ALOT of dirty oil in the cartridge and reservoir. I would not even bother changing the fork oil unless you take the forks off and at minimum flush new fluid through the cartridge by pumping it through. Complete disassemble is best and not much more work. The lower bolts will help drain SOME oil but not enough. The level is measured from the top of the opened fork tube being held straight up and down.

Got it. I guess I'll just wait for the seals to arrive.
    Thanks SLOVFR.
