If anyone is interested I and the wife will be staying at

    Quality Hotel Fireside
    6289 Fallsview Boulevard
    Niagara Falls, ON L2G

Econo Lodge At The Falls North
    5919 Niagara Falls Blvd.
    Niagara Falls , NY 14304

50 and 80 rather than 100 and 120. I searched priceline for the cheapest rooms that were clean (according to reviews). both are within 10 minutes of the previously chosen hotels.

    Hi Yohshi.

Do you know where and when you will be crossing into Canada?

I want to pick up with the group on the Canadian side. If I know the route, I will make sure I am waiting for you on the Canadian side to join you.

Not sure who is the keeper of the route so I was hoping you could help out.

    Thanks.

I can take ya to the aquarium. It's real close to the falls and easy to get to. But if you and or the wife wants to go inside it will take a good part of the day to see. I guess I could leave ya and any others to see it and meat up with ya later if your set on seeing it. It does have a pretty neat display out side of sea lions that is free and worth about a half hour visit. Honestly the entire aquarium is not a really big or one that visitors come just to see it. In other words it's nice but not better then I would think most aquarium's if you have seen others. May be some thing to do if it rains though..which is what I think has kept it open all these years. FYI Marine Land on the NF Ca side is way better then the NY NF's aquarium. I'm still not clear on what the ones want to do. Ya want me to show you around to the local sights which would take about a half day and eat at the place that invented the chicken wings for a late lunch? Which will put near the boarder crossing Fort Eire if I understand the offer blackjack_mike is willing to pick up the lead and possibly take ya to the Ca side of the falls to show ya around. Speak up guys please if you want me to help I'm willing to. I'm just not sure what the majority wants to do.

If the one in canada is better then perhaps we will go there. even if yall are just going to drop us off and meet up later itl be cool. My wife is into aquariums so it will make her very happy.

I think everyone wouldent mind followin ya around joe, to see some sights. sounds like a plan to me. if anyone objects just say and we can do a bit of both.

Would like to join this ride but I am going down to Washington DC next Saturday.

Actually, it would be nice to do a ride into Pennsylvania so everyone from NY and Penn can meet up for the ride. Even going East to Vermont has very nice roads. Two days weekend are perfect for this type of ride.

If I get motivated or a enough interest is shown for a Pa ride I'll set a date some time soon. I just all the little details on setting up a ride that make a ride so much better that few are willing to help with.

It is pretty straight forward. I usually just post the ride and get the number of interest. If weather forecast is good, just book the motel and gone.

I had a group down to Williamsport last October. I may planning something again in August or September. If your guys are interested, we can hook up at Buffalo after the border. If your guys like to explore the North side of the border, feel free to drop a line and we may work something out.

Suggested meeting location on Canadian side

    Hi Everyone.

Might I make a suggestion on the border crossing from the US into Canada.
If you cross at Fort Erie, we can ride the Niagara Parkway along the Niagara River from Fort Erie to the Falls. A nice scenic ride. We can stop at the Falls. We could spend some time at the Falls, continue up the Niagara Parkway to Niagara On-The-Lake for lunch on a patio somewhere. As for the afternoon, haven't figured that one out yet but working on it.

Let me know if crossing at Fort Erie works for everyone. If so, I will pick a meeting place in Fort Erie Canada for 9:30am - 10am.

LOL I'm still confused on whats going on. This is a reply to a Pm if this works.

I live in Lake View NY 14085 if you want to map how far. In general about a 25 min ride, Your welcome to come to my house....how ever is may be wiser with your limited time in the area to get to see some of the local sights. What time is every one plan to arrive at your place in NF's? If you want to I could show ya some sights Friday if every arrives early enough. Or take every one to a local place to eat like the place that invented the chicken wings. As for sat, I;m still confused on what your plans are. Are you looking to see some of the sights in NY sat. before crossing to Ca? If so you will need at least a couple hours and I can show you the better of the many. Then take you to meet the guy in Ca who has offerd to show the Ca side that will take another couple hours to see the better of the many. I would guess if that sounds like a good plan you best tell the Ca guy we will try to meet him some time in the after noon (1-3pm at latest) If not please let me know what you want to do.

    REALITY CHECK :

IT can be Living Traffic Hell to cross borders when bridges are backed-up, and folks, this is the height of tourist season. Be damn sure your cooling fans kick in as they should. If you are stuck on a lengthly bridge crossing, my advice is to shut OFF the engine, and paddle your way across.

Bridge conditions such as waiting times are available on internet and by telephone, and at the worst times, the wait can be up to 2 hours !!!!!
Only time to cross without delay is after 11 PM.

For a great and memorable FREAK SHOW, spend Saturday evening on Clifton Hill in N.F. Ontario; there's NOTHING like the scene there !!! And YOU are part of it !!

Three likely crossing places are: Fort Erie -Peace Bridge(Buffalo), Rainbow ( Falls), or Queenston-Lewiston (North of Falls). The best place is the one least backed-up at the time.

As previously mentioned, the "L and J Honda Specialists" shop, located near Buffalo, will be available for any service needs, and they have voltage regulators !! Call 716 873-0672 if you need help.

Only a few days left and I'm still not really clear on the plan. There are so many ways to enjoy ride. Not sure who is championing the ride on the US side however I think it makes most sense to spend Saturday on the Canadian side and Sunday on the US side. Here is what I can contribute as it relates to the Canadian side:

Meet up at Fort Erie Tim Hortons Saturday morning
Ride the Niagara Parkway north to see Niagara Falls
Spend some time at the Falls for photos
Continue the ride north to Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch on a patio
Ride south west through the Peninsula on some nice country road twisties to the north shore of Lake Erie
Ride east along north shore of Lake Erie back to Niagara Falls to the hotel for the evening
Free time to play in Niagara Falls (Clifton Hill, Casino, restaurants, clubs, whatever)

If everyone is cool with this sight seeing ride for Saturday, I will detail the route for everyone and we can confirm times.

If there is another plan in the works, I am open to it. Just want to have some sort of plan to make the ride enjoyable. We should try to make some decisions soon.
