charging question???

    hi everybody...looking for help...i recently bought a 1998 vfr 800fi.....the bike doesnt hold a charge....replaced battery but still wont hold charge.....i leave on tender can get 3-4 starts then battery is dead...veeeeery annoying....doesnt die on me when riding.....at least not yet but dont want to go on long ride til i solve this.....thanks in advance

    You have the classic R/R failure problem. Replace it and youll be fine. I went Honda OEM - there is a new design with larger fins on it. Some people go with other bikes R/R's - one guy went with an R1.

    Cant help you there - I am waaaaaay far from an electrical geek. But the R/R is the #1 electrical issue on most viffers.
