That is very interesting, be sure to clean your air filters.

I sort of wished that I had knobies on my bike for a very brief second today as well.
But the pucker factor has probably ensured my continued virginity, should I ever land in the clinck!

First, it was good meeting and riding with you all today. I definitely look forward to the next opportunity.

So, as Meachie mentioned, the ride home turned into an adventure. I just looked up our route on Google Maps to figure out where I went wrong. 67 takes a sharp right about 4 miles past Deckers. We went straight, and for awhile that was fine, until we hit the dirt road. That continued for a few miles, and we eventually dumped out onto 285 just south of Conifer. It was incredible scenery out there, but not exactly what we were bargaining on. A very rookie mistake, but we survived. I am now going to have to research GPS mounting options!

Thanks again, and hopefully see you guys soon. Oh yeah, if anyone is in the Woodland Park area (a town northwest of Colorado Springs), I think we all would highly recommend Carlos Miguels Mexican Restaurant. A great find in a small town.

I had to round out the day with some pinball playing. And what was out front of the arcade? None other than another 5th gen. Joe Bliss wasn't there though.

Sounds like a cool ride, that route is always fun with the big, FAST sweepers. I wish I could have made it but I was sick. When is the next ride...?

Good timing, I was just thinking about posting on this topic as well. What does the weekend of July 18th or 25th look like for everyone?

What's up, Deer Creek to 285 to Indian Hills to Evergreen to Mt. Evans to Idaho Springs to the back way into Blackhawk is a preety good route. I however won't be able to make it this weekend as my ride suffered some preety good cosmetic damage due to that Lakewood hail storm. Let me know on any future dates. I should be able to get out as soon as Sat. 8/1.

Just wanted to get my name thrown into this thread and let the forum automatically subscribe me to it.

I'm up in Severance (near Ft. Collins) - stumbling distance from Bruce's Bar. Currently riding an '85 500 mini-ceptor.

Welcome tinkerinWstuff. We got one ride as a group in this past summer, and next year we will have to do better. Hard to imagine that the colder months are already here.

Glad to have another CO VFR!
