When ever i go out riding and im in gear i hear a clunking sound when i put some pressure on the throttle. In first gear its fine but once i go up gears there is that clinking sound and when i let go of the throttle yet im still rolling and in gear there is a constant sound somewhat like the clunking.
It runs fine i went on a 300mile trip no problems shifting or anything but i believe after the trip the clinking sound is louder.

Lately ive been having some idling problems it eithers runs idle at 2.5 or it drops down to 1.3-1.5 but then it jumps around and will eventually stall
If i run 93 gasoline it seems to idle better but still i hope to get it to idle normally because the hot season is starting and its already running a bit hot when not moving fast

    Thanks

The bike is designed for 87. 93 is not burning 100% and will leave carbon deposits behind.

Put the bike on the centerstand and watch the chain as you turn the rear wheel. Look for kinked, crooked links or a mis-aligned chain.

Rotate the rear tire and measure rim run-out. You can also check the tire for out of roundness.

Check tire and swingarm bearings for looseness.

Check rear shock linkage for smoothness in operation.

And of course, you can check the rear tire for correct balance.

honda magna? thought they were shaft drive? also sounds like you need to clean the carbs take apart and vat them.....if you have a chain as sugested maybe it is hitting your centerstand or slapping swing arm check clean replace and or adjust..

I thought it might be the chain but it seems to be sounding like it comes from the front
    somewhat like metallic rattling somewhere
Ill check those things out tomorrow

Poison if you are local to Sacramento California I would love to lend a hand at no charge no matter what it takes , but what you describe is rather wide in its range.
