Which exhaust will really bring out that v-four sound on my 05 ? I would prefer a slip-on, any suggestions?

Hands down the best sounding exhaust set for the VFR = Staintunes. If you aren't willing to shell out the $$ for aftermarket exhausts you can always do a full gut of your stock pipes.

    Regards,

The micron makes my 5th gen sound more like any other inline 4. I have heard the two bro's before, and I liked it, but didn't get a great chance to really judge it.

Then again, I'm pretty much straight piped, so my opinion is considered worthless, by about everyone on here.

Is there a section on this site where people sell used parts?

Two Bros. sound very nice, throaty, deep, and near v-8 with just the right amount of DB. They do tend to sound rough the first couple of hundred miles while breaking-in. They are also lighter and provide a few more pounds of torque than most of the competition. In my opinion the V.A.L.E. also looks the best.

Staintunes are great too. They sound smoother and less deep than do 2-Bros. I want to say they are roughly 5 or 6db quieter with the 2-bros coming in at 96db peak.

My choice was the Carbon Leo Vince exhaust. They sound sweet!

    Staintune...

My bike('02 VFR) came with Staintunes on her. I liked the sound, but found it slightly too quiet. I want a little "fanfare" when ride in traffic or on the Freeway. I removed the silencers and WOW! Deep throaty rumble with just the right amount of burble, yet, not obnoxious. I don't think the neighbors or the Laws will mind...

I got a killer deal on a set of Scorpion pipes and love the way they sound. I tested them next to a set of staytunes and I think the scorpions sound better and so did the owner of the other bike.
