My invite is still open for anyone interested on going on the ride to link up at my place the night before. That would be Friday, May, 29. Just let me know so I can plan the beer accordingly. Will give directions as we get closer.

I'm still undecided on this. It's a hell of a long ride out that way and I'd need to take some time off work. Anyone from NH/VT thinking of going?

I'd like to get in on this ride. Still may 30? Is there a general meet time and location set up yet? Let us know some details and I'll be there

As far as I know it is still on. Haven't really heard of any meet up points. I have put out an invite to meet at my place the night before but haven't heard anything on that either. Still waiting.

I appreciate the offer. you may be a bit far to the west of me. Let me know the route your takin to get up that way, maybe we could meet along the way. I've also considered heading up the night before and finding a place to crash up there. It is a 6 hour ride (and thats on the slab) from here just to get to the rendezvous. Let me know what you think.

Depending on the meet time there I'm probably going to just take I-90 straight there. From my place it is a 3 hour shot. Not to bad. We'll see what everyone wants to do. It is geting closer, people need to start making plans.

I am watching this thread and waiting for a route.

The riding is better in PA. I ride through Niagara Falls / Buffalo to get to PA to ride, but if you haven't seen Niagara Falls, you will enjoy it!

    Jimmy

    PS I ain't camping!!!!!

Sorry I haven't been on the website in a while....BUT LETS RIDE! Is this one going to happen around NF? If so does anyone have a plan on roads or places and times to be done on the day of the ride...which is (May 31) ?

I can take a group down to Pa and show ya some nice roads and sights.....Sorry I'm not in to Camping when on my bike also...however ya can camp in my yard which is a around a hour 1/2 from the Pa roads. We could ride.....
    1) Ride Saturday and come back to my place before dusk and kick back around a camp fire and eat and drink if thats your flavor and possibly ride Sunday also and have you back to my place with enough time to make the boarder bore dusk.

    2) Or you can just head home Sunday when you get over .....your hang over...LOL hang at my house and kick tires Sunday.

    3) Get to my house Saturday and camp over and head down to Pa Sunday nice and early...7-8am and ride all day and get ya back to my house to get your stuff if you want to leave it with enough time to make the boarder by dusk/

    3) Ride Saturday and ride Sunday camp at my house

    4) You guys find a camp sight in Pa (near the roads I can help you decide) and I meet you at it and show ya the roads both or one day.

    5) If you guys can get to the Buffalo area early enough (9-10am) I can show you Pa roads and have you back to the boarder by dusk.

Lets see a a show of hands and dates on which options or if you have a better plan to a Pa ride or a NF ride.........LETS RIDE!....or just kick each others VFR tires if we plan to do so.....both are fine with me.

Me, I like to ride morning to 6PM, with a quick, light lunch in between, stop and clean up at a hotel, then eat supper someplace nice. I then buy some beer, drink a few, share a few, and tell lies to anyone who will listen. I then go to sleep, wake up early (by some standards), eat breakfast, and have the kickstand back up between 8 and 9 AM. Repeat the ride part, and be home after dinner Sunday.

Set a date and I will most certainly attend.

Edit: I forgot to add that in any group ride, the person willing to share his/her route with the group should simply post a date/time that works for him/her, and those that can attend will attend. Those that can't may make the next one.

My appologies everyone for not getting more information posted as of yet.

the date is 30 and 31. sat and sun.

we will meet at a paticular place. say 10 am? so people that are a couple hours away have time to get there.

stop somewhere for lunch. then stop somewhere where some can camp (i hope to have my grill) and the rest can go to a nearby hotel (most may do this, I enjoy roughing it).

next mornin we ride, lunch, then head home.

Sound like a plan to yall? ill get the starting point and route soon. 2 full time jobs and a business do not give you much free time.

ill get with joe and talk to him about a route if i can. he sounds to know the area.

honestly ido kaant to minimize the tire kicking time. this is my first ride and first time seeing the falls.

again i appologize for not getting the route posted yet.

sweet, looking forward to it. From where you are setting up camp do you know off hand what motels are around so people can get reservations in? That would be a big help.

    Hey guys,

I posted a message on VFRDiscussion to see if anyone on there is interested. If nobody really sets a time and place to meet on Saturday Morning, I will decide on a place and whoever shows, we will ride, whoever doesn't, sorry about the loss.

    See Ya,

    Josh

IN terms of good riding, the CANADIAN side of the falls area is much superior to US side, and the Niagara Parkway is a 26 mile ride with no stoplights from Fort Erie to Niagara Falls, then an additional 15 miles leads to beeeutiful a top tourist area, Niagara-on-the-Lake!!

Joefoe and other Buffalo-area riders know the area well.

Well... I'm not backing out unless it is going to be a nasty weekend weather wise. I will post a time and place to meet later on today after I make reservations at a nearby hotel/motel. Stay tuned!

    Thanks,

    Josh

PM me or post where you made your reservations at as I need to make some also. If I don't get any takers on crashing at my house the night before (Friday, May 29) I will head up Friday night so I don't have such a early, hurry up morning. Finally back on days shift and my passport came yesterday. I'm good to go, count me in!

SOME of the area's best rides: Niagara Parkway from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake/ River Road around Grand Island/Niagara Falls NY to Fort Niagara through Lewiston and Youngstown.......

BTW: In 1856, after the imported Chinese shovelmen had finished digging the project and water had been added and at the request of the Canadians a third ( possibly unnecessary) "a" was added to Niagra, eh??

JSZR2 and I have hotels booked, so we have a start point for Saturday. We're staying at one hotel Friday, and a different one Saturday, because that's what we could get for free with hotel points. Staying in Canada the second night will also mean one less border crossing for the trip home on Sunday.

    The plan so far:
Friday, 5/29 - Travel to hotel #1, relax in the pool, eat/drink/be merry
    Holiday Inn
    114 BUFFALO AVENUE
    NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14303
    011-716-2852521

Saturday, 5/30 - Leave from Holiday Inn and Ride in Canada and/or USA, then travel to Hotel #2, relax in the pool, eat/drink/be merry
    Best Western Fallsview
    6289 Fallsview Blvd
    Niagara Falls
    Ontario L2G 3V7
    905/356-0551

    Sunday, 5/31 - Ride home
