    but thought i'd post here s well:D

its been off the road since 96' and changed hands a few times.
untill i got my mits on it and sorted out the final details on just got it road worthy on thursday.

im currently in negotitions with the guys at holeshot to send me top end oiling kit,
and hopefully will grab a rear shock from hagon in the uk (by far and away the cheapest replcment option) my forks have just been rebuilt so front end ok'ish (apart from that dodgy skittish 16" front wheel)
apart from those minor details the bike is straight as an arrow, and purrs like a kitten with no knocks or taps :D

i gather you never got the black/grey colour paint scheme in the u.s. it seems to be an exclusive for oz and nz.

hopefully ill post more as parts turn up

hey there hmmmnz, i saw that bike for sale on trademe! i was tempted but decided to chase another Vfr instead.

con grats, she looks like a good un

i actually prefer the 1000F to the R in terms of looks.

check out 'macdonalds motor trimmers' (in te aroha i think) they can redo your seat to any profile.
they sometimes advertise in motorcycle trader or they have a website if you do a google search under there name you should find em.

we always used to run the metzler ME 33 Laser on the front of our 16 inch gen ones. was a pretty stable tire.

hook up with rhinno 88 in wellington, and if im going to the lake i'll Pm ya.

    take care of that bike!

    cheers

    RT

ive been after a vf1000 interceptor for quite a few years, last time one came up on trademe, i was in scotland so didnt really want to have someone else pick it up and store it for me,
so i let it pass, i coldnt beleive my luck when this one came up.... i had decided on a vfr750, but couldnt let this one pass and by the time the auction came to a close i had readied myself for this and was willing to pay a small fortune for it.
the best bit was i got it for so cheap that i wouldnt have cared if i'd had to do a rebuild on it, but it had just had a full top end rebuild and purred so nicely, i was almost jumping up and down when i first heard that, (having owned a vf400, and a vf750 i know the evil noises that come from with in :D )

all i had to do was rebuild the forks, and then re-vin the bike,
    job done!!
im currently putting some smaller cans on her, as she sounded a bit weak for a 1000cc v4 :D

definitly let me know if you come through taupo. you can go for a blast on her
