    I'm wanting to invest in a good pair of riding pants with knee sliders and have found these on motorcyle superstore:

    Does anyone own a pair of these that could comment on them? And also, there is no size chart for Cortech. There sizes run small, medium, large, x-large, and 2x-large. I am a 36x32 and would think i could get away with the x-large? They look like they are somewhat breathable but provide good protection.

    I have the HRX pants, which look similar but are discontinued. The "large" size shows 34-36 on the label. There are only three things that I do not like about them;

    1. The snaps (2) that hold the waistband snug are really poor quality, and Cortech/Tourmaster does not offer upgraded ones. I ended up distorting mine with a pair of pliers just so they wouldn't unsnap when I sat down.

    2. The pants came with a rain liner and a thermal liner. The thermal liner will only attach to the rain liner, so you can only use the rain liner by itself. If you want to use the thermal, you must use both, which actually works out pretty well. It would be nice to have the option, though.

    3. The legs are pretty small in the boot area.

    They are cool in the summertime without the liners. In the cold months, they are good down to about 45 degrees or so. After that I add some long underwear, and they work reasonably well down to about 30 degrees. Oh there is one other thing. The thermal liners only go down to about mid-shin.

    It could be that some or all of these issues have been addressed in the HSX line.

    For what it is worth, everything seems to be constructed pretty well except for the snaps. I went through the same exercise with regard to finding pants I could live with, but dragging my knees intentionally wasn't a consideration. I wanted some padding and full season capability.

    I ought to just buy a Roadcrafter one-piece and get it over with, instead of collecting various bits of clothing that take up closet space...

    Thanks for the laugh Lgn, I feel the same way. Before long I could open up my own Motorcylcle Apparel shop, however i am looking for full season capability as well. I'll just try them out and if i don't like em, return em. I own a few things from Cortech/Tourmaster and... so far so good, especially for their prices. I have a Cortech mesh jacket, all black with a red stripe through the chest and really like it. Moto superstore was having a sale on Joe Rocket stuff not to long ago, and I snagged up a Joe Rocket Interceptor jacket. Had to get it, hence the name. It came with a rain liner, plus, you can unzip the sleeves and take them off to reveal mesh. Seems to be a good all weather jacket.
